The finale of the Hemel Symphony Orchestra’s first season was an entertaining family concert devoted to film music on June 16th. A sizeable audience enjoyed a performance which was accompanied by film clips – or was it the other way round? – and gave a warm reception to the orchestra and to our conductor, Claudio Di Meo. A hefty brass section on one side of the stage and large set of percussion instruments on the other made for a memorable, if loud, afternoon.
The first concert in the 2019 – 20 season takes place Saturday 19thOctober 2019 and features Russian music that you won’t want to miss. The brilliant young violinist Leo Appel plays the Tchaikovsky concerto and Rachmaninov’s wonderful second symphony concludes the concert.
Tickets are now available to see the Hemel Symphony Orchestra perform at the former Rudolph Steiner School on Sunday, June 16th. Join us for an afternoon celebrating the magical music of the movies.
